James F. Molleur practices law with offices in Biddeford and Portland, Maine, as Molleur Law Office, with three associate attorneys. He concentrates his practice in bankruptcy primarily representing debtors, particularly consumer and small business debtors. Jim received his B.A. degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Bowdon College in 1976, and his J.D. degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 1979. He has lectured and written materials on bankruptcy for the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Maine State Bar Association, the National Business Institute, and the Maine Federal District Court Conference. He is also a certified specialist in consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification. Jim is a member of the York County and Maine State Bar Associations, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He was admitted to the Maine and Federal District Court bar in 1979, and the First Circuit in 1998. Jim has also been a member of the Local Rules Committee for the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine.
