Jeffrey A. Shane is an established and well-known Civil Lawyer in Los Angeles, specializing in Personal Injury Law, Sexual Harassment and Business/Employment Litigation. He has been awarded significant trial verdicts and obtained maximum financial settlements for his clients. He was recently selected as Trial Lawyer of the Year, 2013, 2014, in Personal Injury by Pasadena Magazine. He is presently handling cases from whiplash to catastrophic injury with a recent specialty in brain trauma cases.
A Phi Beta Kappa Graduate from UC Berkeley, he attended Loyola Law School, where he has served as an Adjunct Professor in Civil Discovery. He taught a class on Civil Discovery Winter quarter at Southwestern Law School, January 2020, as an adjunct professor.
He is a contributing writer to the Daily Journal, the state’s largest legal newspaper; The Advocate, magazine of the Consumer Attorney’s; and Los Angeles Lawyer, the monthly periodical of The Los Angeles County Bar. He has also moderated and produced Law Talk, and Shane’s Verdicts, local cable shows, in which residents were educated on the nuts and bolts of various legal subjects and issues with guest lawyers. He was the recipient of the prestigious Harvard Prize Book Award.
He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (Trial lawyers), State Bar, and is on The Board of Governors for the Beverly Hills Bar Association, where he also chairs the Lawyer Referral and Information Services Committee and serves on the Personal Injury Section. He is an invited member of the Order of Distinguished Lawyers. In addition to his own practice, he is trial counsel for firms in Pasadena and Santa Monica.
A former Deputy District attorney, in his early career, he was also appointed to serve on the Regional Homeland Security Advisory Counsel.
An Advocate for education, he was a candidate for the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles County Community College System. He is Former Executive Director of YMCA in Beverly Hills, California and Associate Director of The Inner-City Law Center, in Los Angeles, California.
