John was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in May 2018. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions, debtor-creditor rights, creditor-side bankruptcy representation, shareholder and interest holder derivative actions, entity formation and maintenance, labor and employment law, and general real estate and contract matters.
John graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 2017, and graduated summa cum laude from The King’s College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. Before joining the firm, John served as a Judicial Intern in the chambers of the Honorable Ramon E. Reyes, United State Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York and the Honorable Martin Glenn, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York, and worked as a Summer Associate at the Manhattan office of a prominent international law firm, splitting time between litigation, corporate, and bankruptcy practice groups. John also served as an Associate Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review, and published a Law Review Note entitled Golden Creditors, Copper Rules: Avoidance Actions Under Section 544(b) of the Bankruptcy Code in Cases Where a Federal Creditor Holds a Claim, 82 Brooklyn L. Rev. 1755 (2017).
After law school, John and his wife Elizabeth left New York, moving to Elizabeth’s hometown of Lubbock, Texas to start their young family. John joined the firm as a Law Clerk in July 2017, and John and his wife Elizabeth welcomed their first child, Isla Beth, to the world in September 2017.
