JOHN GALLAGHER, a lawyer of 37 years and the founder of Gallagher Law, has established a practice that provides expert legal services, both nationally and internationally. Mr. Gallagher developed a specialty in international transactions with an emphasis on business in North America, Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia.
John J. Gallagher has extensive experience in energy matters in Eastern Europe. He has travelled to Russia more than 250 times as a lawyer specializing in nuclear energy, oil and gas projects, Satellite Communications field, technology and equipment transfer, and related commercial opportunities. He has represented the American utility industry in relation to access to Russian Nuclear Enrichment Capability and also specifically EnergySolutions, which is the leading nuclear waste handler in the United States. He has often met with the leadership of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, JSC Atomenergoprom, JSC "TVEL,” JSC "Tekhsnabexport” and Kurchatov Institute with regards to nuclear issues.
One of Mr. Gallagher’s interests, both professionally and personally, involves nuclear non-proliferation. In that capacity, from 2003 until 2008, he served as the Chairman of the Board of the US Industry Coalition - a nonprofit entity created by the U.S. Congress to assist the Department of Energy in programs regarding nuclear, biological and chemical non-proliferation in the former Soviet Union.
Finally, he has devoted time to the nuclear closed cities of Russia regarding investment and increasing commercial business opportunities in those regions.
John Gallagher has been a regular attendee on various Congressional delegations which have met with significant leaders in the executive and legislative branches of Eastern European Governments.
Professionally, Mr. Gallagher has graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1976. He taught for five years as Adjunct Professor in the Honors Program of LaSalle University and is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

John Gallagher is married to Joan Gallagher and is the proud father of four children - Kathleen Gallagher Kamper, Joan Gallagher Quinn, Esq., Ann Gallagher Till, M.D., and John Michael Gallagher, who is the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Hartford University. John and Joan Gallagher presently have thirteen grandchildren.
