John Cusick grew up in a small town outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of Marquette University High School. He received his Bachelor’s of Art in English Literature from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where he met his wife Barbara. After graduating college, he moved to Kansas City and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Upon completion of law school, he served as the judicial law clerk for The Honorable Edith L. Messina of the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri. John has devoted his entire legal career to litigation and representing injured people and their families. He has focused his practice in the areas of pharmaceutical liability, automobile/tractor trailer litigation, lead paint litigation, product liabilities, medical/professional liability, railroad crossing litigation, and employment law. John is licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri and Kansas and is also admitted to practice before the Untied States District Court-Western District and the District Court of Kansas. He is an active member of many legal organizations including, the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. John is a recipient of the 2006 Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation’s Presidential Award. John has also been recognized by his peers as being “Best of the Bar”. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his wife and their three sons. He coaches football, basketball and lacrosse. He also enjoys playing softball, golfing and listening to live music. John has become a zealous advocate for the Arthritis Foundation and served as a board member for the Foundation’s local and regional boards since 2010.
