John Spicer has extensive experience handling complex multi-party business transactions as well as corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions, and creating and negotiating contracts. John’s focus is on helping clients understand and navigate the myriad of legal details and ramifications involved in their specific transactions to achieve their desired business goals. John represents clients of both residential and commercial real estate transactions, drafting purchase contracts, leases, options, mortgage and security instruments, as well as filing the necessary applications with regulators. John also assists clients with Wills and estate planning, helping them understand estate tax laws and creating workable solutions for their individual needs.
John received his Juris Doctor in 1990 from South Texas College of Law. He is a member of the Texas and Nebraska State Bar Associations and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2004 upon relocating to Virginia.
John has trial experience with commercial and business litigation as well as personal injury. He has successfully resolved suits involving contract disputes, covenants not to compete, securities and investment disputes, deceptive trade practices, breach of warranty claims, and real estate and land title disputes.
