ABOUT John W. Heilman

As a member of the SIU Practice Group, John handles fraud litigation and medical provider investigations. He handles PIP disputes throughout the state of Florida on behalf of our clients. John also defends casualty matters, representing clients in retail liability, premises liability, product liability, and automobile and trucking negligence.

A lawyer since 2000, John most recently practiced commercial litigation and casualty defense in the Florida office of the Philadelphia-based firm, Spector Gadon & Rosen, PC. Previously, John practiced commercial litigation with the Lakeland, Florida office of GrayRobinson, PA, a 275+ attorney business as Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP, a 800+ attorney law firm.

John had worked at the Fortune 100 company, Tech Data Corporation, negotiating contracts with companies such as Microsoft, Dell and HP. After graduating law school, John advised senior management of a venture-capital-backed Internet company regarding multi-million dollars contracts and acted as chief of staff for the company's CEO for his role on a U.S. Congressional Commission concerning regulations restricting children's access to pornography on the Internet. John holds a law degree and MBA from the University of Florida. He graduated with honors from law school, and completed his undergraduate studies summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Notre Dame.
