What drives Jon in helping injured workers is a competitive and compassionate nature. This, combined with a thorough knowledge of workplace machinery and industrial processes, has contributed to his successful practice as an attorney.
Born and raised in West Virginia, Jon graduated from Nitro High School in 1986. During his school years, he gained a competitive spirit by participating in baseball, basketball, football, cross country running, swimming, and soccer competitions.
Jon earned a bachelor's degree from Ohio University in 1991. The following three years, he worked in the human services field while completing accounting coursework at West Virginia University. In 1994, he began law school in Michigan, graduating in 1997. Within days after law school graduation, Jon returned to his roots in southern West Virginia where he has continually represented victims of industrial accidents.
Jon and wife, Karen, have two children, Mason and Marissa. When he is not working, Jon spends time with family, serving on his church board, and running, hiking and fishing.
