Jonathan A. Ross has extensive litigation experience on both sides of the United States. Born in Buffalo, New York, he was admitted to the State Bar of New York in 1987, the State Bar of California in 1990 and the U.S. District Court, Central District of California and Northern District of California.
Mr. Ross was educated at American University, Washington D.C. where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Economics (1982) and his Juris Doctor from George Washington University (1986).
Mr. Ross began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Kings County, (Brooklyn), N.Y. In the four years that Mr. Ross served the people of the State of New York, he prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies in a variety of cases, including assault, battery, burglary, robbery, and kidnapping. Mr. Ross also performed appellate work while working as a prosecutor.
After completing his services to the people of the State of New York, Mr. Ross continued his career by becoming a member of the California bar and initiated his civil litigation practice, drawing upon his vast experience as a prosecutor.
Mr. Ross has been exceptionally effective in the civil arena, working for prestigious Los Angeles law firms in their civil litigation departments. His areas of expertise include products liability, premises liability, complex litigation, catastrophic injury matters, and business and contractual litigation. He has tried in excess of thirty (30) cases in New York State Court, California State Court, and the Central District of California (Federal Court).
In addition to his busy schedule working for the benefit of his clients, Mr. Ross performs pro bono work for a Legal Aid Clinic. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of New York, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Mr. Ross enjoys travel and is conversant in Spanish.
