Jonathan J. Jacks was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1986, however, he moved to West Virginia the same year. He attended Morgantown High School in Morgantown, West Virginia, and then stayed in Morgantown to attend West Virginia University. Jon’s academic honors during his undergraduate career included the Promise Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship, and the Robert Maiolo Scholarship. He was also a member of the Pi Sigma Sigma Policy Studies Honorary and was on the Dean’s List and/or President’s list for academic honors throughout his undergraduate education. In May of 2008, Jon graduated Summa Cum Laude as a University Honors Scholar with a degree in Political Science and an emphasis on Law and the Legal System. Jon continued his education in the fall of 2008 at the West Virginia University College of Law on an academic scholarship.
Jon was able to supplement his legal education during law school by working for Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC. Additionally, he spent a semester as a full time judicial extern with the Honorable Irene M. Keeley and the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. Jon graduated in May of 2011 and began full-time employment with Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC, in the Morgantown office. In his spare time Jon enjoys taking advantage of the many great outdoor activities the State of West Virginia has to offer and cheering on the Mountaineers.
