Attorney Joe Price is a seasoned Trial Lawyer serving Northeast, Central and Southeast Pennsylvania for the past forty (40)years. He has handled serious personal injury cases in courts throughout the Federal system including New Jersey and New York. Attorney Price is A.V. Rated by Martindale Hubble. He is Board Certified in Civil Practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1996. He is a life time member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Association of Justice and is a Champion of Justice. He has received various awards including being named a Super Lawyer, Plaintiff Litigation since 2005 to present. He has been named a Top 100 Trial Attorney and invited to join the Million Dollar Round Table on numerous occasions. Attorney Price is founding member of the Northeast Trial Lawyers Association and is a frequent lecturer for various local, state and national Trial Lawyer groups. He has been a member of the American Association of Justice for his entire career and has served his local Lackawanna Bar Association as a long time Board Member and President in 2009.
Attorney Price has been active in his community during his entire legal career. He led the fight for clean water by founding and heading the Scranton/Lackawanna Water Quality Task Force. He fought the relocation of a major power line through his neighborhood and as a result of the settlement saw the power line placed underground and resulting proceeds were used to create the Minooka Athletic Association of which he was President and over saw the construction of a new athletic field for the children from his neighborhood. Attorney Price and his wife, Attorney Judy Price (currently first Assistant District Attorney in Lackawanna County) chaired the 2014Lackawanna /Wayne Counties United Way Campaign and also chaired the2016 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Attorney Price has led many boards during his career, most recently as President of the Board at Saint Joseph Center, President Scranton Canoe Club and current President Lackawanna Pro Bono Inc.. He was one of the original volunteer members from Pennsylvania to Trial Lawyers Care, 9/11 Advocates. He represented three (3) families who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks in New York City.
The Prices are the proud parents of four (4) children, Judith Ann Olivetti, Attorney Colleen Kearney, Attorney Joseph Price Jr. And Attorney James Price. They are also the proud grandparents of J.D., Gwen, Leyland, Everett, Margaux, and Josephine. A former cross country and basketball coach, Attorney Price now enjoys traveling with his family, sharing in his grandchildren’s activities, running, fishing and golf.
