Justin Gray advises clients on intellectual property and complex litigation matters with a focus on computer software and hardware, medical devices, and telecommunications. He regularly counsels clients in federal courts across the country on cases involving patent infringement, trade secret protection, and copyright infringement.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Justin helped to secure a complete victory in the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on behalf of a manufacturer of dental implants, obtaining a precedential decision affirming the invalidity of a competitor’s patent. He also defended and obtained favorable settlements for a smartphone company in numerous patent infringement lawsuits and obtained a jury verdict of $147 million on a patent infringement lawsuit concerning a wireless mobile device management patent.
Justin’s early career includes technical experience, including the practical application of internet technology as assistant webmaster on behalf of the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department, where he helped integrate new technologies into the department’s website
