Katie Maehl specializes in estate matters, real estate, and commercial transactions. Katie grew up on the Hi-Line, where her family still lives. She was born in Malta, Montana and attended high school in Glasgow, Montana, graduating first in her class in 1998. She then attended the University of Montana, Missoula, and the Davidson Honors College, graduating in 2002 with high honors and a B.S. in Business Administration – Accounting. Katie then enrolled in the University of Montana School of Law. While there, she received the Non-Profit Organizations award and was Managing Editor for the Montana Law Review. She spent her law school summers clerking for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Billings, Montana and Moulton Bellingham. Katie graduated from law school with honors in May, 2005. Before returning to Moulton Bellingham as an associate attorney, Katie completed her education by obtaining an LL.M. degree in Taxation at New York University School of Law. She then joined Moulton Bellingham in 2006. Katie and her husband, Jason, have two young children. In her leisure time, she enjoys running, reading, traveling, and backpacking. Katie is a member of the Yellowstone County Bar Association and the State Bar of Montana. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Billings Community Foundation.
