Kevin’s 25+ years of legal experience has given him the opportunity to focus on three distinct areas of the law: creditors’ rights, corporate law and estate planning and administration. Kevin utilizes both his specific skill set and broader experience to work with clients to effectively and efficiently deliver quality legal services.
I work hard to establish a trust and connection with my clients to provide quality legal work.
Whether the client is an individual or a corporation, Kevin finds success in getting to know his clients by understanding their desires and working to assist them in resolving their problems and concerns. Kevin understands that the attorney/client relationship is built on trust and believes listening is key to developing strong relationships with his clients.
Kevin has represented numerous financial institutions of varying size and has experience in representing creditors in Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings; state court foreclosures and repossessions; loan workouts and loan documentation. His experience and knowledge in the creditors’ rights area resulted in his past Chairmanship of the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. In his corporate law practice, Kevin strongly believes that the process of drafting contracts and agreements and advising corporate clients is enhanced by the experience of representing those who seek to enforce agreements. Knowing, firsthand, the pitfalls when enforcing agreements provides invaluable knowledge in drafting agreements and advising clients. As a young lawyer, Kevin was involved in estate planning and estate administration and he continues to enjoy the personal reward of helping individuals construct and implement estate plans and work through the issues of estate administration.
Kevin decided to practice law because it is an honorable profession that is intellectually challenging and provides the opportunity to assist people with problems that they often cannot resolve on their own. When he’s not in the office, you can find Kevin enjoying the outdoors, watching sports, slow cooking barbecue and spending time with his family. He is a former board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and has coached over 20 recreational youth teams in many different sports, including middle school football. Kevin believes coaching is one way to help kids recognize the immense potential they possess.
