Attorney Kevin McKie is specialized in Environmental Law, having successfully assisted and represented numerous clients who were exposed to hazardous substances throughout his career. With a professional experience of over 10 years, Kevin McKie can efficiently handle both individual lawsuits and complex community exposure cases, as well as provide legal representation for businesses in environmental matters. He is currently affiliated with Environmental Litigation Group, P.C.
Having obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University in 2001, Kevin McKie decided to pursue a legal career. Thus, he earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2005, which was shortly followed by his admission to the Alabama State Bar. In 2016, the attorney also became a member of the Illinois State Bar. Before joining Environmental Litigation Group, P.C., Kevin McKie worked with Whatley Drake & Kallas, LLP as an attorney and he was also a law clerk for Circuit Court Judge Tom King Jr. The lawyer is a former public official as well, having served on the Board of Directors for the Birmingham Water Works Board – one of the largest water system in the U.S. – for 2 years.
Kevin McKie is a member of multiple professional groups and associations, including the American Association for Justice, the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama Association for Justice. He is also on the Board of Directors of Greater Crestwood, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on creating a safe community and bringing Birmingham residents together.
