ABOUT Kristin Hespos Burns

Kristin Hespos Burns represents public and private entities, including business development companies, in their corporate and transactional matters. She represents clients in public and private offerings of debt and equity. She also regularly advises on corporate governance matters including compliance with the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

Kristin has significant experience drafting and negotiating documents for private investment funds and working with institutional investors such as pension and government funds.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Kristin practiced in the corporate and securities department of a law firm and served as in-house counsel to an alternative investment manager.
