ABOUT Larry D. Simons

Larry D. Simons (Principal) is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. Larry was admitted to the California Bar in 1995 and is also admitted to U.S. District Court, Southern, Central and Eastern Districts of California and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.

Larry received his B.A. in History in 1992 from California State University, Northridge and his J.D. from Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1995.

Larry has been selected as a “Rising Star,” Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine, in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 and as a “Top Attorney in Bankruptcy” for 2010 by Pasadena Magazine. He has also been selected as a “Super Lawyer” for 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016, an honor bestowed on less than 5% of all lawyers.

Larry was a Judicial Extern to Hon. David E. Russell, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of California, Sacramento, California. He was also a Judicial Law Clerk to Hon. Kathleen Thompson and Hon. Arthur Greenwald, United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California, Woodland Hills, California.

Larry has authored or co authored numerous articles which can be found on the “Articles” page of this website. He was also the past chair of the Bankruptcy Law Advisory Commission, which oversees the certification and recertification of legal specialists with the State Bar of California.

He is a member of the California Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Forum. He is also a member of the private panel of chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees for the Central District of California.
