ABOUT Laura Tucker Hedge

Laura Tucker Hedge, an associate of the firm, received her B.A., with honors, from St. Bonaventure University in 2007, where she majored in journalism, and her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2014. Ms. Hedge also studied at Somerville College, Oxford University, as an undergraduate.

Ms. Hedge was rated a Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Star in 2017 and 2018, and is the co-author with Harriet Newman Cohen of N.Y.’s Proposed Maintenance Guidelines, an article published in the New York Law Journal explaining the 2016 changes to New York’s Domestic Relations Law and historical context. In 2018, Ms. Hedge was a guest lecturer on emerging family law issues at St. John’s Law School.

During law school, Ms. Hedge spent the summer of 2012 at Proskauer Rose LLP in Securities Law, and was a 2013 summer associate at Cohen Rabin Stine Schumann LLP. She was thereafter offered a position at the firm.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Hedge has gained extensive litigation experience. Ms. Hedge regularly appears in both Supreme Court and Family Court to argue on behalf of clients and is a skilled negotiator who has expertly navigated and drafted numerous complex settlement agreements and prenuptial agreements for domestic and international clients.

Also during law school, Ms. Hedge was published in the Villanova Environmental Law Journal and served as the Journal’s Symposium Editor. Ms. Hedge was the director of the Pro Bono Society’s Street Law Program through which law students traveled to Philadelphia public schools and taught students about practical law. She was the recipient of the Villanova University School of Law Dorothy Day Award for her Pro Bono service. Additionally, Ms. Hedge was a student attorney in the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic focusing on family law and immigration issues.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Hedge was a Corporate Public Relations Coordinator at Condè Nast Publications and later held a position at leading international real estate merchant bank, Island Capital Group LLC.

Ms. Hedge is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the New York Women's Bar Association.

Ms. Hedge is admitted in New York.
