Lee Patterson joined the firm in 2002. Mr. Patterson's practice primarily involves the representation of individuals and businesses in a variety of civil matters in state and federal courts. Mr. Patterson has experience in the litigation of toxic tort cases, products liability cases, the defense of motor carriers and other businesses in various wrongful death and personal injury actions. Mr. Patterson devotes a significant amount of his practice to the defense of mining companies and blasting contractors. Mr. Patterson also has experience in litigating insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Patterson has participated in a variety of appeals before the Alabama Supreme Court and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Patterson is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association and an Attorney Member of the International Society of Explosives Engineers. Mr. Patterson has been admitted to practice on a pro hac basis in the states of Kentucky, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Georgia and was selected in 2012 and 2013 as a Rising Star in the Alabama Super Lawyers publication.
Mr. Patterson is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Patterson received his JD from Cumberland School of Law.
