Lori Truitt

Lori Truitt was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University and graduated summa cum laude in 2005 with a BA in English Literature with a minor in German Language. After studying abroad in Germany summer of 2005, she attended law school at Texas Tech University School of Law. She graduated magna cum laude from law school in 2008.

During law school, Lori clerked with two firms, working in personal injury. Lori also worked as a research assistant concerning sand dune protection and conservation. Lori’s research contributed to Texas legislation for sand dune protection and conservation.

After graduation, Lori worked for two years representing large, national banks in consumer collection efforts. She represented these banks in hearings across the state of Texas, developing her skill in the courtroom and in negotiations.

Since joining Tray Payne & Associates, PLLC, Lori still represents creditors in consumer or commercial collection, but she has expanded her practice to include consumer representation, divorce, child custody cases, child support issues, guardianships, estate planning/probate, DTPA claims, general civil litigation, and criminal misdemeanor defense.

Outside of the courtroom, Lori enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, and taking long walks with her golden retriever.
