Marc Mayfield is board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition to the day-to-day management of the firm, Marc represents clients in a broad range of litigation and non-litigation matters.On December 31, 2001, Marc became board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and was awarded a Certificate of Special Competence by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has handled personal injury cases involving wrongful death, defective products, toxic torts, industrial accidents, medical malpractice, unreasonably dangerous premises defects, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, and on the job injuries. Marc also has extensive expertise in Texas Workers’ Compensation claims and continues to represent injured workers before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation. He also has extensive experience handling claims against insurance companies for bad faith claims.He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 1, 1968. After graduating from Longview High School in 1986, Marc obtained his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989. Marc also attended the University of Houston Law Center, where he obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1992 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1992. In addition to being licensed to practice in Texas State Courts, Marc has also been admitted to practice before the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western United States District Courts, and in the Fifth District United States Court of Appeals.Marc has a successful track record of working in the private sector, representing clients in all areas of civil trial law and gaining experience handling cases for both plaintiffs and defendants.Marc is also a credentialed mediator, providing mediation services in all manners of civil litigation, including personal injury, business contract disputes, and other cases.
