Matt was born in South Florida and has lived throughout the Southeast. After graduating from law school, Matt joined a statewide firm based in Albany, Georgia as an Associate and worked in a litigation focused practice for nearly five years. During his time in Albany, Matt gained extensive experience in Insurance Defense Litigation, Commercial and Business Litigation, Insurance Coverage Disputes, and General Civil Practice. Matt joined Sanders & Ranck, P.C. in May 2010 and is engaged in a General Civil Litigation Practice which includes representation of individuals and businesses in a broad range of both litigated and non-litigated matters. Education:
Matt attended Mt. de Sales Academy in Macon, Georgia and upon graduation attended the University of Georgia where he earned a B.S. in Environmental Health Science. While at the University of Georgia, Matt was a recipient of the Hope Scholarship. After completing his undergraduate education, Matt attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he received a tuition scholarship and worked as a graduate research assistant. After completing his Masters degree, Matt worked for an Environmental Consulting Firm, focusing primarily on air quality compliance issues, before enrolling in law school at Mercer University and earning his Juris Doctorate degree.

Matt is licensed to practice in all State and Superior Courts of the State of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
Family:
Matt married Rachel Woods in 2000.
Professional Affiliations and Civic Involvement:
Matt is a member of the Chattahoochee Inn of Court and State Bar of Georgia. Matt is also active in the Toccoa Stephens County Chamber of Commerce and the Stephens County Development Authority. Matt and Rachel are members of Saint Matthias Episcopal Church in Toccoa.
