Michael Galvin was born in Rock Island, IL and has been a life-long resident of the Quad Cities. He graduated from Alleman High School and later enrolled at Augustana College where he double majored in Economics and English. He realized his childhood dream of attending law school when he was accepted to Valparaiso School of Law. Upon graduating in 1984, he passed the Bar and took a position with Potter, Gillman, Galvin, Konecky, and Keesee in Rock Island, IL. Within five years, he became a full partner.
Mr. Galvin has over thirty years of experience as a lawyer, making him eminently qualified to provide the highest level of legal services to his clients. He focuses on worker’s compensation, veteran’s disability, and personal injury.
Mr. Galvin practices law in both Iowa and Illinois, as well as various Federal Courts.
During his career, Mr. Galvin has been a member of the Rock Island Bar Association and has previously been appointed to that organization’s Board of Managers. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Iowa, and the Federal Bar. He has also argued cases before the Seventh Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.
Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Galvin was a member of the Quad Cities Postal Credit Union Board of Directors for 15 years. He served on the Board of the Bettendorf Family Museum for several years. He is the father of three beautiful and talented daughters and is fortunate to be married to his amazing and lovely wife, Kitka
