Academic and Professional History
I’ve always been passionate about the great state of Rhode Island. I’ve lived here for decades, creating strong community connections and an even stronger love for the place I’m proud to call home. I attended Cranston High School East, followed by the University of Rhode Island. I proudly served with the Rhode Island Army National Guard for several years. I then attended the Western New College School of Law, where I earned my Juris Doctor in 1989. I passed the bar examination in Rhode Island on my very first try, and soon after, passed in Massachusetts.
After serving as clerk for a law firm in Springfield, Massachusetts, I returned to Rhode Island in hopes of embarking on a rewarding legal career. I am proud to say that I’ve since realized my greatest professional ambitions, although it’s taken a lot of grit and determination along the way.
Currently, I offer a variety of legal services through Gardiner Law: Michael J. Gardiner Attorney at Law. My law firm has a strong reputation throughout the state of Rhode Island, forged through decades of hard work and exceptional service. I am proud of the legacy I’ve created, but certainly not about to rest on my laurels. I treat every client as an individual, working hard to provide the best possible representation, regardless of my successful background.
