Mr. Merritt joined the Las Vegas office of McCormick Barstow LLP in 2014. He has an active litigation practice with extensive experience in all phases of complex litigation, and has tried more than 20 cases to verdict.
Experience
Mr. Merritt has developed several areas of specialty including litigating catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, private and commercial automobile/vehicle liability cases, premises liability, products liability, business and commercial tort cases, and internet liability cases. Mr. Merritt also has an extensive construction and commercial real estate law and litigation practice. He has participated in numerous state and federal trials, and has handled appellate cases at the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Merritt is admitted to practice in Nevada, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Community Involvement
Mr. Merritt is actively involved with his sons’ local Boys Scouts troop. He also regularly participates in community service activities through his church, including feeding the homeless, interacting with the youth, working on public school campus improvements, and local park maintenance.
