Mikayla is an associate in our Professional Liability - Health Care practice group.
She earned her B.S. degree, cum laude, in three and a half years from the University of Mary in 2006. Her activities included participating in the Harold Schafer Leadership Academy, the Pre-Law Club and Toastmasters International.
In 2016, Mikayla earned her J.D. in just two and a half years from the University of North Dakota Law School, where she served as Associate Editor for the University of North Dakota Law Review. She competed in the Phi Alpha Delta National Trial Competition in 2015 and received the Outstanding Prosecution award for her performance.
During her second year in law school, Mikayla served as President of the Student Trial Lawyers Association (STLA), a group that primarily focused on aligning law students with lawyers in the surrounding areas to provide mentorship opportunities. In addition, Mikayla served as Secretary of the Law Women’s Caucus (LWC) and became the LWC Presidential Runner-up Candidate during her third year at the University of North Dakota School of Law.
In her free time, Mikayla enjoys spending time with her significant other, PaxTon, her Chihuahua, Lex, and training her Doberman, Axl.
