The summer after his second year of law school he worked in the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office as a "Rule 13" certified intern, which allowed him to conduct misdemeanor pleas and second chair felony criminal jury trials."Working as an intern in a prosecutor's office was an eye-opening experience," Chris says. "I gained valuable courtroom experience and, through working with the victims who have been hurt as a result of someone else's wrongdoing, it made me realize that I wanted to use my legal skills to help those who have suffered misfortune through no fault of their own."During his third year of law school, Chris worked for Columbia, Mo.-based lawyers, handling cases ranging from personal injury to criminal law and business litigation. After graduating from law school, Chris went to work for the Clayton, Mo.-based law firm Medler & Roither, where he practiced in the areas of personal injury, criminal law and domestic litigation.Dixon says, "My clients often face many roadblocks and hurdles after an accident. My job is to make sure they receive just compensation even in the face of opposition from big insurance companies. If it cannot be obtained through reasonable negotiation, I am always ready to go to trial over the issue."Giving back to the community has always been a part of Chris Dixon's life. In both college and law school he volunteered his time to a variety of organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Oklahoma City and Oklahoma Lawyers for Children.
