Gregory A. Richards, Jr. is a Tampa native. He attended the University of South Florida, earning his B.A. degree in 1991. He received his J.D., cum laude, in 1994 from Stetson University College of Law, and was a member of the Stetson Law Review. After law school, he achieved an LL.M. in Taxation in 1995 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Mr. Richards practices in the areas of estate planning; probate, guardianship and trust administration; and probate, guardianship and trust litigation. In addition, he advises clients as to gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, fiduciary income tax issues, and the formation and administration of family limited partnerships and tax-exempt organizations.
Mr. Richards served as a Staff Attorney, a Senior Staff Attorney and as Deputy Court Counsel with the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Tampa, Florida from 1995 to 1999. He was in private practice with the Trusts & Estates Group at Fowler White Boggs P.A. for almost fourteen years before joining Allen Dell, P.A.
Mr. Richards was on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council from 2009 to 2011. He was also on the Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee for the Thirteenth Circuit (Committee 13B) from 2004-2010, serving as the Committee Chairperson from 2006-2010. In addition, he has been involved in various capacities for local community organizations or charities over the years, including Easter Seals, the American Heart Association Heartwalk, The Florida Aquarium, and the Tampa Chapter of the University of South Florida Alumni Association.
