Mr. James A. Tanner

James joined Huntsman Lofgran in the summer of 2015. His practice focuses on resolving federal and state tax issues. Tax resolution often requires complex negotiation with the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. Tax law is complex and always changing; thus, it’s essential to have an experienced attorney in your corner.

James also provides estate and asset planning services for his clients. He has prepared hundreds of estate plans, ranging from simple estate plans to complex, multiple entity and/or trust plans. James also conducts periodic estate planning seminars for our clients. Probate, which goes hand-in-hand with estate planning, is essentially the end of the estate planning cycle. Having an experienced attorney in your time of need, especially upon the loss of a loved one, brings closure to the estate in a civil and cooperative manner.

James also brings expertise to the Firm in commercial/business transactions. Such transactions include purchasing/selling commercial real property, purchasing/selling a business, leasing assets and/or real property, buy-sell agreements, business succession planning, and myriad of other transactions.

Prior to joining the Firm, James served as an associate with Lukins & Annis, P.S., a mid-size firm in Spokane, Washington, focusing his practice on commercial real estate, business/corporate transactions, estate and business succession planning, and taxation.

In his free time, Mr. Tanner enjoys a multitude of outdoor recreational activities (camping, fishing, hiking, ATVs) and spending time with his two children.
