Jason W. Burgess is an Associate in Butler's Charlotte office. He practices in First-Party and Third-Party Coverage as well as Extra-Contractual matters.
Jason’s goal is to provide a quick and favorable resolution for his client. His approach is client driven, focusing on educating clients about the process and the choices, and resulting consequences that the situation and process will create. This gives clients the knowledge and control they need to make the best decision they can to resolve their cases. His real-life experience prior to the law allows him to understand a client’s needs and explain the legal “jargon” in real-world terms.
Jason was born in 1972 and raised in suburban Detroit, Michigan, before moving west for college in 1990. He enrolled at Arizona State University in the Honors College, graduating with a degree in Psychology in 1995. While in Arizona, he met his wife and started a family, as well as a successful career in the then-booming homebuilding market working for one of the largest cabinet manufacturers in the country designing kitchens and bathrooms, and selling cabinetry directly to homebuilders. Eventually, this career brought him to Northern California in 1998. Resolving disputes on the construction site and negotiating the contracts for those projects encouraged Jason to enroll in law school. Jason enrolled at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, graduating in 2005. A second-career attorney, Jason focused his practice in the Sacramento and San Francisco markets on litigation, which he continues here in Butler’s Charlotte office.
