Atlanta Injury Attorney
Matthew Broun is an Athens, Georgia, native and an undergraduate of the University of Mississippi. After completing his undergraduate studies, Matthew returned home to Georgia to attend law school at the Georgia State University College of Law in downtown Atlanta.
After he graduated law school, Matthew began his legal career at a respected insurance defense firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He was afforded the opportunity to work with numerous insurance companies and gained valuable insight into how they evaluate claims and cases.
Desire to Help Others
Ultimately, Attorney Broun decided he would rather help people in difficult situations as opposed to helping insurance companies' bottom lines. He began representing people injured through no fault of their own in 2012 and has recently joined Kalka and Baer in an of counsel capacity. He is eager to continue to zealously represent victims of negligence and hold the insurance companies he used to work for accountable.
As of 2017, Attorney Broun has settled numerous cases resulting in six-figure settlements as well as a seven-figure settlement with disputed liability. Working with Matthew is his dedicated Senior Paralegal, Jackie Werntz and Legal Assistant, Roshni Patel.
He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and was recently voted as one of the Best Attorneys in Georgia by Avvo®.
