Pace Mawhinney is an Associate with the Tallahassee office at Butler and joined Butler in 2018. He practices in Third-Party Liability and First-Party Property actions. This includes advising insurers with regard to complex Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith issues.
Pace was born in Tallahassee, Florida, and he graduated from Florida State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminology and English Literature. While attending Florida State, Pace worked as a Senior Criminal Analyst at the State Attorney’s Office, Second Judicial Circuit. In this position, he assisted the attorneys and investigators with the prosecution of felony and misdemeanor matters.
Pace continued his education at Florida State University College of Law. During law school, he clerked for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and represented the Department at the Division of Administrative Hearings on various licensure matters. He also spent a summer working for a firm specializing in commercial litigation. After law school, Pace practiced at state and nationwide insurance defense firms. In his spare time, Pace enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, playing guitar, and is an insufferable Florida State Seminoles fan.
