More than 30 years of broad litigation experience representing individuals, closely held corporations, local and regional businesses, and national companies in arbitrations, trials, mediations and appeals throughout Georgia. Practice areas include business torts, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, labor and material liens, contract bond claims, real estate and title disputes, first party insurance claims and coverage disputes, commercial collections, personal guarantees, subrogation, and premises liability. Recent representative matters include several AAA arbitrations, Georgia Supreme Court litigation involving the enforceability of a personal guarantee, litigation of a fraudulent conveyance case, litigation of a breach of fiduciary duty case, federal court litigation regarding a lien discharge bond, federal court trial involving premises liability and federal court trial of a first party insurance claim.
Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience
Since 2008 Mr. Schweber has served as Arbitrator in over 2 dozen cases for the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”). The arbitrations typically involve commercial disputes, and the recovery of investment losses. Also, employment discrimination and sexual harassment, and non-compete and non-solicitation agreements between investors, brokerage firms, and individual brokers.
