SHAN R. SHAH is an associate at Outten & Golden LLP, and a member of the firm’s Individual Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Mr. Shah represented private and public sector employees victimized by discrimination and whistleblowing retaliation in locations across the Mid-Atlantic region, including Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New Jersey. Mr. Shah earned his B.A. from University of Maryland, College Park in 2009, and his J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2012, where he achieved commendation for distinguished class participation in the school’s award-winning trial advocacy program and outstanding oral advocacy in the school’s legal research and writing program. During law school, Mr. Shah interned for Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (“SLDN”), a public interest organization dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ servicemembers. After law school, Mr. Shah worked for Mazzoni Center Legal Services, a public interest organization dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ victims of discrimination in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Shah is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association (“MWELA”) and D.C. Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Community.
