Jennifer has been a shareholder in the firm since 2002. She works primarily in the areas of family, juvenile, adoptions, wills, probate, criminal, landlord/tenant, civil litigation, personal injury, administrative hearings and appeals, and Social Security Disability & SSI.
Jennifer has served in the past on the board of the Vermont Bar Foundation as secretary, and as a chair of the Grant and Publicity Committees. The Vermont Bar Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding legal services for needy Vermonters. She is also Vice-President of the Maiden Vermont Chorus, Inc., a non-profit women’s barbershop chorus located in Addison County. Currently, she also serves on the board of the Addison County Parent/Child Center.
A graduate of Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, Jennifer returned to Vermont in 1996. While at Northeastern, Jennifer received professional training through internships as a law clerk to Justice Denise Johnson of the Vermont Supreme Court, a legal assistant to the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, an advocate in the Mental Health Law Project of Vermont Legal Aid, and as legal assistant at Schoenberg and Associates (later the Schoenberg Group of Downs, Rachlin & Martin in Burlington, Vermont). Jennifer spent four years learning the intricacies of litigation and the Vermont court system as law clerk for the judges of the Superior, Criminal and Family Courts of Rutland, Vermont.
