Attorney Linda Farron Knapp began her practice of law in 1991 after graduating from USC School of Law in Columbia, SC. She was on the Dean’s Honor Roll and served as the first law student intern for Chief Justice Jean Hoefer Toal. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA from Youngstown State University in Ohio and she also has an AA from Napa College in California. She grew up in the Finger Lakes area of upstate New York and married Dennis C. Knapp, who is a solid waste engineer at the Savannah River Site. The Knapp’s have one daughter, Kimberly Sanchelli, a special-needs-English-teacher for middle school students in Greenville, SC. Their son-in-law is an attorney and they have two grandsons.
Admitted to US District Court and a certified Veteran’s Affairs Attorney, Attorney Knapp is a long time member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR). She is also a member of Elder Law Answers and was selected by her peers to membership in National Advocates Top 100 Attorneys. She served on the SC Bar Solo Attorney Council and was its president. Attorney Knapp has trained other attorneys at national and state conferences regarding SSI appeals and ethical marketing. She was also on the Family and Elder Law Committees of the SC Bar, was a frequent speaker at the USC Summer School of Gerontology and started the Greater Barnwell Women’s Conference.
Attorney Knapp was recognized in 2017 by Marquis Who’s Who Publication Board for her newspaper column “Boomer Briefings” in the Aiken Standard Mature Times monthly magazine. She has been featured several times in Aiken Woman magazine. Attorney Knapp focuses her practice on estate planning and elder law, generally serving folks over 50 through asset preservation and long term care planning, wills, trusts, and prenuptial agreements.
