Linda K. Ward is certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in family law. She also has completed training in family law mediation and arbitration and is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a family financial mediator. She is a member of the Wake County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association.
Linda completed her undergraduate degrees in history and education at the University of North Carolina-Asheville, where she graduated with distinction as a university scholar. Prior to practicing law, Linda was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and taught in the Catawba County and Wake County Public School Systems. Linda received her law degree magna cum laude from the evening program at North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Linda has devoted her entire legal career to the practice of family law. Linda has extensive trial, mediation and arbitration experience and prides herself on being a creative and solutions-oriented lawyer.
Linda was named as a “Legal Elite” in Family Law by Business North Carolina in 2013. She has also been honored in the category of “Best Attorney” by Cary Magazine for seven years (2011; 2012 (Honorable Mention); 2013; 2014; 2015; 2016; 2017).
Linda strives to maintain a high level of competence in her field, and she has spoken on a variety of family law issues and has written numerous articles on family law topics.
Linda is also a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and the Cary MacGregor Rotary Club, where she previously served as President (2007-2008). Linda lives in Cary with her husband and two children.
