Meghan is an associate attorney with a focus on estate planning, probate, real estate, and general business matters. She provides practical and efficient solutions to her clients to help them achieve their goals and plan for both the expected and the unexpected. Specifically, Meghan crafts customized estate plans for clients at all stages of life, whether they are young families primarily concerned with establishing guardians for their children, or older individuals planning for the ultimate distribution of their assets. Meghan’s estate planning services include creating wills, trusts, durable financial powers of attorney, and advance health care directives. In addition, she compassionately guides clients through the estate administration and probate process.
Meghan further assists individuals and families with passing down family properties and real estate transactions, and she is a licensed title insurance agent with First American Title. She also works with businesses, whether they are just getting started, transitioning, or have ongoing needs. Her great attention to detail is an asset to her clients, and she is unafraid to tackle complex title histories or intricate estate plans.
“Every client is unique. I’ve learned that the best way to start any representation is with a thorough understanding of my clients’ objectives, priorities, concerns, and challenges. With that knowledge, I am able to create personalized solutions that achieve their goals and provide them with peace of mind.”
Meghan is currently based in the Bath office. In the past, she was an associate attorney at Weiss DeRice PA, a boutique transactional law firm, and also had a solo practice focused on estate planning. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law, where she served as the Technical Editor of the Maine Law Review, interned with IDEXX and a small business and intellectual property Portland law firm, and was a student attorney in the Intellectual Property Clinic. Before attending law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Penn State and worked for several years in the sales department at CBS 13.
Meghan grew up in Pennsylvania and the Deep South and now lives in Brunswick with her husband, two sons, and two rescue cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, vegan baking, attempting home improvement projects, and looking for bargains at flea markets and yard sales.
