B.A. Political Science and Public Relations, Iowa State University, 2005 and J.D.- Litigation Concentration, Creighton University, 2013. Nathan joined the law firm of DeKoter, Thole & Dawson, P.L.C. in 2013, and in 2017, he became a Partner in the firm. He is licensed in Iowa and Minnesota. His practice focuses on civil litigation including personal injury, insurance defense, and business disputes. He also does estate planning and probate work. Nathan’s past work experience includes clerking for the City Attorney’s Office in Council Bluffs, Student Attorney at the Creighton Legal Clinic, and Law Clerk at Farm Bureau Financial Services, Litigation Group, in West Des Moines. Nathan currently serves on the Sibley Public Library Board of Trustees and is a Board Member at the Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon, Iowa. Nathan grew up in rural Sibley, Iowa on a grain and livestock farm. Nathan’s father also owned and operated a farm machinery business in Sibley for over 25 years. Nathan resides in Sibley, Iowa with his wife, Nicole and their daughter Cidny. In his free time, Nathan enjoys spending time with family, farm activities, and the outdoors.
