Attorney Petty has dedicated his legal career to helping people injured by the carelessness of others. Since becoming an attorney in 2003, he prides himself on being there for his clients at every step in prosecuting a personal injury claim, from providing counsel and solace following a traumatic accident, to zealously presenting their case to a jury. Respected by his peers, Attorney Petty has been named on the Wisconsin Rising Stars list 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and again in 2013.Attorney Petty received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from UW- Madison in 1999 and his law degree from Marquette University in 2003. While at Marquette, he was a member of the Public Interest Law, International Law, and Environmental Law Societies. Attorney Petty was also awarded the opportunity to take part in the Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition.Community involvement is extremely important to Attorney Petty. He has volunteered as an attorney drafting wills for first responders, monitoring elections to protect the right to vote, and representing tenants in disputes with their landlords. Additionally, Attorney Petty sits on the board of directors for his son's school located in central Milwaukee.There is nothing more important to Attorney Petty than his family, in which he includes those at Gruber Law Offices and his clients. Attorney Petty was born in Portland, Oregon and lived in California until he was 10. He subsequently moved to the Milwaukee area, his mother's hometown. Attorney Petty lives in Milwaukee with his wife and two sons.
