Nicola Pisano is a trial attorney with experience in medical devices software, wireless communications, encryption, computer, telephony, Internet-based and mechanical technologies. He has litigated patent and trade secret matters in federal district courts throughout the United States, interference proceedings and Inter Partes reviews before the US Patent and Trademark Office, import matters pending before the US International Trade Commission, and appeals before the Federal Circuit.
Nicola also has extensive experience procuring patents relating to diverse technical fields, including a vast array of medical device technologies, software, wireless communications, computer, telephony and network technologies.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Nicola worked for a global law firm where he represented start-up companies with respect to managing worldwide patent portfolios, licensing, and strategic/litigation planning. He also represented domestic and international venture capital firms in connection with intellectual property due diligence of investment targets engaged in developing medical devices and energy and wireless/telecommunications technologies.
