ABOUT Peter Godin

Peter Godin joined the Nicholas Law Firm in January of 2019. Peter was born and raised in Southeastern Connecticut, graduating from Montville High School in 2009. After High School, Peter went on to receive his Bachelors degree from the University of Connecticut, graduating in 2013 with Majors in both History and Political Science. In the years between his undergraduate education and law school, he volunteered as a guardian ad litem, advocating on behalf of disadvantaged youths in Southeastern Connecticut. In 2015, he resumed his education at the University of Connecticut, eventually receiving his Juris Doctorate degree from the UCONN School of Law in 2018 along with a certificate in Transactional Law.

While at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Peter served as the Managing Editor for the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, overseeing the Journal’s publication of its 2017 Fall & 2018 Spring editions. Peter spent his first Summer in law school interning as a judicial clerk for Federal Magistrate Judge Sara Merriam, where he assisted in the drafting of Social Security Appeals rulings along with other matters for Judge Merriam. While in school, Peter worked as a law clerk at Dowley & Associates, focusing primarily on land use and property matters before a brief stint as an Associate with Tinley, Renehan & Dost, LLP.

Peter is admitted to the bar in Connecticut and is heavily involved in the firm’s personal injury and workers’ compensation practice. His free time is most enjoyed snowboarding, hiking with his dog, and spending time at his cabin on Lake Ontario in upstate New York.
