Attorney Phillip Mastagni is Partner in the civil litigation department of the firm Mastagni Holstedt, APC. Mr. Mastagni specializes in civil litigation, including trial and appellate litigation in California and federal courts. An experienced litigator as well as a PORAC Legal Defense Fund panel attorney, Mr. Mastagni is admitted in U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Mr. Mastagni has also been admitted pro hac vice in the US District Court for Wyoming and Utah State Court, 3rd Judicial District (Salt Lake County). He has handled litigation from inception through trial and jury verdict and is well versed in international civil litigation. While a student at Georgetown University Law Center, he focused his studies in international and European Union law. Mr. Mastagni speaks fluent German. Mr. Mastagni has litigated and been involved with cases and discovery in France, the U.K. Canada (Quebec), Japan, Korea, China, Mexico, and elsewhere, both through US courts as well as the Hauge Convention.

Mr. Mastagni has also handled many complex aviation cases, including commercial flights, international flights, private flights, and bother fixed wing aircraft (airplanes) and rotary craft (helicopters). Mr. Mastagni also has handled many commercial trucking accidents, big rig accidents, and roadway design defect accidents. Mr. Mastagni handles electrical injury and electrocution cases, including against PG&E, Pacific Bell, local utilities, and telecommunication companies. Mr. Mastagni handles fire damage and burn injury cases. Mr. Mastagni frequently handles complex traumatic brain injury cases, including traumatically induced seizures disorders, mild, moderate and severe traumatic brain injuries. Mr. Mastuccessfully represented victims of the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash at San Francisco International Airport, both in the US and abroad.
