Ravinder S. Nagi is a shareholder and the firm's Assistant Managing Attorney. He serves as chair of the firm's Litigation Department and the Labor and Employment Practice Group. Over the last ten years he has represented private and public companies in numerous industries, including multi-national franchises, hotels, banks, financial service corporations, insurance companies, luxury retailers, restaurant chains, and auto dealerships.
Attorney Nagi focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and labor and employment law and specifically concentrates on representing management in labor and employment matters. His practice encompasses all areas of employment and labor law, including: drafting employment contracts, employee handbooks, personnel policies, confidentiality and non-compete agreements, arbitration agreements, defending wrongful termination (VI Wrongful Discharge Act)claims, plant closings, Title VII discrimination suits, sexual harassment, whistle blowing, union avoidance practices, union campaigns and election petitions, NLRB unfair labor practices (ULP) charges, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements (CBA). Attorney Nagi has extensive experience defending wrongful discharge and wage claims at the VI Dept. of Labor, Title VII actions before the EEOC, ULP charges before the NLRB, and dealing with various local and nationally-based unions including the Virgin Islands Workers Union (VIWU), Our Virgin Islands Labor Union (OVILU), and the United Steelworkers- AFL-CIO-CLC (USW). Attorney Nagi works extensively with local businesses and merchants on their employment and general civil litigation issues.
