ABOUT Rebecca B.W. Anderson

Rebecca B.W. Anderson has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and business law, including commercial financing, office and retail center development and leasing, farm/ranch leases and operating agreements, multi-parcel assemblage and development, purchase and sale transactions, residential and condominium development, conservation easements and transactions, communication tower transactions, land use, real estate dispute resolution, loan work-outs, easement and right of way issues; business entity and LLC formation, operation and dissolution; project due diligence, approvals and permitting. Her practice also includes energy and utility related matters including site acquisition and development for energy projects, transmission line easement acquisitions, right of way permits and licensing. Rebecca has handled complex real estate conservation projects, one of which received a 2005 SAMMY award for Clark County, Washington and a CRITF Partnership Award for 2005.


Rebecca graduated from University of California, Davis Law School in 1987, Order of the Coif (top 5% of her class). At University of California, Davis, Rebecca earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Business Associations and the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. She was also the first place winner of the Moot Court Competition and served as Chairperson of the Moot Court Board. Rebecca graduated from University of Washington in 1984, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Rebecca’s legal career began in San Diego, California where she practiced with Gray, Cary, Ames and Frye, handling complex real estate finance, development and leasing transactions and a wide array of other real estate transactions. In 1991, Rebecca joined Albertson’s as an in-house attorney and later became Senior Manager handling and supervising all aspects of commercial real estate development. She also supervised the legal team’s work in several other areas including in-store banking, pharmacy acquisitions, surplus property and property management. Rebecca opened her own practice in 2005, handling a wide array of real estate and business transactions and disputes until March 2014 when she joined Jones, Gledhill, Fuhrman Gourley, P.A. Rebecca was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where her father, grandfather and great-grandfather founded the Wood Tatum law firm.

Rebecca is a member of the Idaho, Oregon and California State Bars. Rebecca has taught several classes at the University of Oregon Law School in Conservation Easements and Real Estate transactions and has taught seminars at the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference at the University of Oregon Law School on the same topic.
