ABOUT Rex V. Gump

Moberly personal injury lawyer Rex V. Gump, born in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 30, 1947, was admitted to the Missouri bar in 1976. He was also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court and the Western District of Missouri. Mr. Gump received preparatory and legal education from the University of Missouri in Columbia (B.S., 1970; J.D., 1975).

Mr. Gump was on the Board of Editors for the Missouri Law Review from 1974-75. He served as Assistant City Attorney in Moberly from 1977-81, as City Attorney from 1981-85, and as Municipal Judge from 1985-00. Mr. Gump is the author of “Real Property-Pre-emptive Right or Rights of First Refusal-Violative of the Rule Against Perpetuities?” 40 Missouri Law Review 389, 1975 and “Local Government-County Home Rule and the 1970 Missouri Constitutional Amendment”: 40 Missouri Law Review 49, 1976.

Mr. Gump is a member of the Randolph County Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (Board of Governors, 1998-2017), and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
