Richard L. Morris founded Morris Law Group, P.A. in January, 2007. Morris practices primarily in the areas of real estate, commercial law and civil litigation.
Morris brings forty years of experience to the firm. Before joining the firm, Morris was a senior partner of Morris, Carlson and Hoelscher, P.A., a firm that concentrated in real estate litigation and bankruptcy. Prior to that, he was the senior partner in Morris, Fuller and Seaver, P.A., again, a firm practicing in real estate and commercial litigation and bankruptcy.
A lifelong Minnesotan, Morris is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Following law school, Mr. Morris started his career as in-house counsel for Eberhardt Company, a local full-service real estate/mortgage company, honing his skills in business and real estate law, before joining private practice. Morris is himself an entrepreneur and brings years of experience and expertise in investment and business management beyond the legal field to his practice at the firm. Morris’ business pursuits include involvement as a founding partner of Equity Lending, Inc., Pawn America, Inc., Cash-N-Pawn, LLC, Excel Title, LLC, Title Nexus, LLC, and Commercial Mortgage Fund, LLC.
Morris is licensed in Minnesota state and federal courts. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He lives in Edina, Minnesota with his wife and his dog.
