Richard W. Jones

Richard W. Jones graduated from BYU in 1979 with a B.A. in economics. He then received his J.D. Law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU in 1982. After graduating he became a member of the California State Bar in 1982 and the Utah State Bar in 1983. He began his career working as an attorney in Ogden, Utah for the law firm now called Helgesen, Houtz & Jones.{newline}{newline}His practice specializes in Homeowners Associations, Condominium Associations and Real Estate. He is known as one of the best attorneys in Utah for these practice areas. He has been giving seminars on Condominium and Homeowners Associations since 1981.{newline}{newline}He is currently the President of the Utah Condominium and Homeowners Association, and has been the president since 2004. He became a member of the American Inns of Court in 2001 and the community associations institute in 2009.{newline}{newline}Apart from being an attorney, Richard Jones enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife are the proud parents of 5 children. One of their favorite things to do is to help other people. They have participated in many different humanitarian projects, some of which have been in Guatemala, Kenya and Peru. He explains these experiences as priceless because they help you see life in a completely different way. {newline}{newline}His oldest son is attending J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU and is expected to graduate in 2013. He will then be joining the firm Helgesen, Houtz & Jones as an attorney.
