ABOUT Riley T. Waddoups

Riley T. Waddoups has been with Robert J. DeBry & Associates for over 19 years, holding various positions in the firm. He has been an attorney since 2008.

He represents people with product liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, trucking accidents, dog bites, slip and fall, auto/pedestrian accidents, auto injury, and catastrophic injury claims. Riley is dedicated to each client and enjoys sitting with his clients and listening to their personal injury stories.

Riley received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Utah. After graduating, he pursued a Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he was recognized with the CALI Award for Excellence in Remedies.

Since being admitted to the Utah State Bar and American Bar Association, Riley has since received an award from the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, ranking as one of the Top 10 under 40.

Riley believes strongly in helping others who are otherwise not able to receive the justice they need. That is why he is a member of the Utah Association for Justice, American Association for Justice and Utah Trial Lawyers Association, legal organizations that are dedicated to preserving fairness and equality.

He is also court approved for the Utah and U.S. District Courts—District of Utah.

Riley donates much of his time and money to local groups and charities. He has a strong passion for service and compassion both for his clients and community. Riley volunteers often at the Utah burn center and the Utah Food Bank. He also has donated to many causes, including the March of Dimes, Humane Society, Food Bank and Primary Children’s Hospital.

He is confident in taking on many complex and catastrophic cases knowing that he can advocate for a fair settlement so that his clients can repair their lives.

Riley has three labradors (one of which sheds a lot) which he enjoys taking to dog parks and letting them play. He also considers himself an amateur dog trainer. When he is not training or playing with his dogs, he is with his family camping or going to the lake.

He loves coaching little league baseball and basketball in the Sandy area and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
