Robert A. Abiuso is a Partner with Sahn Ward Coschignano. Mr. Abiuso concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, insurance and supplemental underinsured and uninsured motorist (SUM) litigation, defense of claims against property damage, criminal defense, personal injury, real estate law and transactions and municipal claims litigation. Mr. Abiuso also represents clients in criminal defense matters and real estate transactions throughout the metropolitan area. Prior to joining the firm, he maintained his own practice with offices in Babylon.
In 2016, Mr. Abiuso was recognized as the Public Interest Attorney of the Year by Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.
Mr. Abiuso is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Association of Justice (formerly ATLA), the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Lawyers Guild.
Mr. Abiuso graduated from St. John’s University in 1989, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, graduating in 1994 with his Juris Doctor.
